Join us for an intimate conversation with The Honorable Peter C. Groff about policy, purpose, and how to make the political sphere accessible to all. Sometimes called the "Conscience of the Senate," and regarded as a "pragmatic and deliberative" leader, this education expert become the first Black President of the Senate in Colorado. Peter is the Principal and Chief Strategist at MCG2 Consulting and is the Creator and Lecturer of the Run the Public Square Lecture Series.
Groff served as the 47th President of the Colorado State Senate and was an appointee in the
adminstrations of President Barack Obama. Peter has held senior-level positions at all three
levels of government and has more than 30 years of public service and political experience.
Before Peter's service in the legislature and even during his tenure, he taught public policy at
the University of Denver. He also directed the Policy Center for New Politics and Policy at the
University. Groff has also served as a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of
Education and recently at the Progressive Policy Institute in the area of Urban Affairs.
